Interconnect Solutions Company ("ISC") designs and manufactures custom overmold solutions for big-name clients like Tesla and Philips. Each unique solution (cable assemblies, encapsulated circuits, or connectors) provides reliability and durability in the harshest environments and is backed by full-service, in-house engineering experts.
Tesla contracted with ISC to overmold more than 100,000 various plugs and connectors while developing their EV charging adapters and mating plugs. While there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach when designing and manufacturing a custom solution, the internal team at ISC creates the highest quality products, setting a high standard amongst their competitors.
As ISC looks to 2021, the company sees much growth potential. With support from newly hired Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Eric Shumway, the company plans to partner and collaborate with new customers to bring about complete interconnect solutions that matter.
“Technology, people, and processes define a company. What I saw in ISC was exciting because each of these areas was very strong, and the future looked bright. One of the reasons I think the future is bright is the proliferation of electronics into environments that were too harsh historically. The ability to overmold thermoplastics to protect from these environments has helped propel technology.”
Shumway joins the ISC team from VEXOS, a manufacturer specializing in custom material solutions, located in New York, NY. While there, Shumway managed all national and international independent sales representatives for all business units and added 20% ISR growth year over year for three consecutive years.
Shumway is an ideal fit to help ISC accomplish its 2021 goals. He brings over 30 years of industry experience and an excellent track record of organizational leadership, a dynamic approach to sales and marketing, and a drive to implement industry-specific key performance indicators to support the consistently growing ISC team.
Michael Engler, CEO of ISC, is eager about Shumway's potential to contribute to the company's many product offerings and network to expand the company’s customer base.
“Hiring Eric aligns with the ISC motto that ‘what we do matters.’ His background and expansive network will allow us to grow our customer outreach and partner with clients leading within their respective industries. We’ve already accomplished great things with Google, Philips Medical, Anduril, L3Harris and others. Now, we look forward to creating sustainable growth with a leader like Eric on our team."
Shumway worked from the factory floor and up throughout his career, with stints in engineering, materials management, and sales. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sales Management and Business Analytics.
